X-1 Unveils “X-1 Fueler” at SDC 2026, Introducing a Modern, Mobile-First Platform for Self-Serve Aviation Fueling

Sr. VP of Ops Steve Tubbs & CEO Jim Wiley with X-1 Fueler at NBAA SDC2026

Miami, FL - March 26th 2026 - X-1 today announced the launch of X-1 Fueler, a next-generation self-serve fueling platform designed to modernize general aviation fueling operations with a connected, mobile-first experience.

Self-serve fueling infrastructure across general aviation airports has remained largely unchanged for decades, relying on kiosk-based systems, legacy hardware, and manual integrations & reconciliation processes. X-1 Fueler replaces this model with a fully integrated platform that connects fueling, payments, and operational data in real time.

“Self-serve fueling has been treated as a piece of equipment for years,” said Jim Wiley, CEO of X-1. “X-1 Fueler changes that. We’ve built a connected platform that brings fueling into the modern aviation ecosystem, where payments are seamless, data is real-time, and the experience is designed around how pilots actually operate today.”

From Equipment to Connected Infrastructure
Unlike traditional self-serve systems designed as standalone hardware, X-1 Fueler is built as connected infrastructure, integrating directly with the X-1 ecosystem, including X-1FBO, accounting and pilot facing apps.

The platform enables:
Fully unattended operations, with remote monitoring and control
Reduced labor dependency and streamlined workflows
Real-time transaction visibility and centralized reporting
Cloud-based connectivity and remote system management
Mobile-First Pilot Experience

X-1 Fueler introduces a mobile-centric fueling workflow aligned with modern pilot expectations:
-Pump activation directly from a mobile device
-No reliance on on-unit card readers or legacy interfaces
-Immediate digital receipts and transaction records
-Faster, more intuitive fueling experience on the ramp

This approach eliminates friction commonly associated with older kiosk-style systems and aligns fueling with the broader digital flight planning and payment ecosystem

Operational and Commercial Advantages
Beyond operational efficiency, X-1 Fueler introduces new revenue opportunities not available in legacy systems.

The platform enables on-unit digital media and targeted promotional placements, allowing operators to monetize the fueling experience through advertising, partner offers, and location-based content. Operators can manage content directly or leverage X-1’s network to deliver campaigns aligned with aircraft type, pilot behavior, and fueling activity.

In addition to improving operations, X-1 Fueler transforms self-serve infrastructure into a recurring revenue-generating asset, creating a new income stream alongside fuel sales.

Built for reliability in demanding ramp environments, the platform also includes:
-Advanced connectivity architecture with multi-network support
-Diversity antenna design for improved signal performance on the ramp
-Satellite connectivity capability for remote or low-coverage locations
-Reduced maintenance footprint with no paper, printers, or card readers to manage
-Fewer mechanical failure points compared to traditional kiosk systems

About X-1:
X-1 develops technology and data platforms for the aviation industry, including operational software for FBOs, fueling infrastructure connectivity, payments systems, and aviation intelligence tools. With the introduction of X-1 Property, the platform now extends into aviation real estate, infrastructure planning, and facility management, supporting airports, FBOs, property owners, and operators across North America.
